Inclusion of body filler within paint materials charge

The ‘AZT Paint Operations within Audatex’ update issued on 20 October 2009, confirms the full details of the paint operations and paint materials included for AZT paint operations.

‘New welded panels are assumed to be delivered in perfect condition not requiring any repair finished in factory e-coat. The welded area is assumed to be finished off using 80g paper by the panel beater.’ 

This also confirms that if a panel has been repaired and body filler was used in the repair process, it is expected that the body filler is finished with 80g paper before arriving into the paint shop.

The application, and the shaping, of body filler is not included as part of the AZT painting processes and therefore the AZT paint materials charge does not include for body filler which may be used in the panel process.
